Sale Pamono Set of Children’s Chair by Kristian Vedel for Torben Orskov & Co., 1950s

Two classics by Danish industrial designer Kristian Vedel (March 1923 – March 2003), a member of the early Scandinavian design movement. The design dates back to 1957 and is one of the first independent children’s chair designs. This wasn’t simply a conventional chair scaled down to a suitable size for children. The plywood chair was produced by the traditional Danish manufacturer Torben Orskov & Co.

The red seat can be easily adjusted to different heights, allowing the chair to grow with your child.

The children’s chairs offered here are from a contemporary production from the 1960s. Both chairs bear multiple manufacturer stickers/labels, and both chairs are signed “Denmark” in the wood.
