Sale Pamono Kintsugi Art Deco Vase by Myriam Greff

This small flamed stoneware vase is signed Alphonse Mouton. Born in 1900 into a family of potters, Alphonse Mouton worked in Saint-Vallier, in southeastern France, from the 1930s to the 1980s. He is particularly recognized for his distinctive use of glazes in colors ranging from dark blue to green and beige. His early works are reminiscent of the Art Deco period, with their geometric shapes and stylized patterns.

This 13cm high work bears the ALPHO signature under its foot, as well as the number 231.

Time has not spared it but it has been restored using the traditional kintsugi technique using Japanese lacquer and gold.
