Glass Sculpture by Richard Rooze and Jaroslav Wasserbauer.
“The Yellow House” 2 Place Lamartine, Arles France, the house where Vincent Van Gogh lived from February, 1888 until April 1889.
The sculpture not only represents the physical “Yellow House” as Vincent called his accommodation in Arles, but in addition the tiny bubbles in the glass seem to reflect the many ideas and fantasies that surfaced in his mind. Rooze and Wasserbauer made a 1st limited series of 100 piece Yellow Houses V1 based on a square. A new second serie of YH V2 based on a trapezoidal was in preparation. Vincent’s house is part of tree and the room has a sloping back wall. When you look at “The Bedroom” F482, you will see the base is not square.
