A classic tea and coffee set in the highest quality silver plated (Hard Metal), the oval-shaped pieces are embellished with elegant and elaborate engravings that frame the initials “M-G “, the ends of the teapot and coffee pot are in polished bone, the punches printed on all items belong to the George Shadford Lee & Henry Wigfull Company founded in Sheffield in 1871, the date of production is between 1871 and 1879 (see p.87 of “Sheffield & Birmingham Victorian Electroplaters Book of Marks” by Andrea De Giovanni). An ancient and magnificent service in excellent condition. 14×10 alt.22
