Still Life with Violets Oil on Panel in Ornate Gilt Frame, 1880s. This is a wonderful oil painting of a bunch of violet flowers, beautifully arranged against a dark background. Beautiful bold yet delicate paint strokes. A very refined work which is expressionist at heart. The earthy colours or the violets make a nice contrast with the dark and gloomy background. Framed in a period correct gilt wooden ornate frame. It is signed, but illegible. The oil painting is in a wonderful condition. At DEZAAK DELUXE we try to find items that are out of the ordinary. with experience over 40 years, we are known for our singular eye and combining the new and the old. We have a few thousand items in stock in our beautiful showroom in a reclaimed factory building out of the 1930s.
