In the case of this Blue Vase, a rattan basket served as the mold and burned up during the glass blowing process.
Fernandez is a Spanish designer currently living and working in Mexico City. Citizen of the world, she has lived in Italy, France, UK, Portugal, and Spain and has worked with Jaime Hayon at Fabrica and consulted for El Ultimo Grito, among others. To boot, she is partner and consultant at Abierto Mexicano de Diseño, the Mexico City Design Festival founded in 2013.
