Fantastic, large, navy/royal blue, ceramic fish cooker (casserole), by Environmental Ceramics Inc., of San Francisco, in 1966.

All Rights Reserved © 1966″ at the bottom of the base (see photos.)

This piece is truly in wonderful original condition, as it comes from the original owners who only used it as a display piece, and has been well cared for, over its 55 years. The gorgeous, navy/royal blue color of the glaze, combined with the details on the body, really make this a conversation piece.

There are 2, old, small marks of age and use commensurate with time, at the bottom of the edge of the base (see photo with a 1 cent coin for perspective) and a small mark of age on its interior edge (see photos), but no cracks or anything that affects the functionality of the piece. The top (lid) has no cracks or chips.

It measures at 39 cm wide (long) with a depth of 17 cm and a height of 14 cm.

Vintage, Californian ceramics from this period, are not always easy to find, especially ones in such nice condition as this. An ideal piece to showcase, whether one would like to explore using it to serve a dish, as a centerpiece, or simply to put on display as a decorative item.
