Louis XVI style fireplace in red Belgian marble, second half of the 19th century. The lintel is recessed on each side with a rosette in the center. The quarter-round jambs have rudentée fluting and rosettes at the top. Top with under-shelf. Very fine marble, with normal restorations on the moldings framing the hearth. Cleaned and polished by a marble mason.
Provenance: a residence in Sarthe.
