Exquisite 12-plate “Gonesse” dinner service set, designed by Patrick Frey in Limoges porcelain in the 1990s. Sold in sets of 6.
The design features a watercolor-style drawing in maroon of human figures on off-white porcelain. The reverse features a capital letter, different on each plate, and the signature “Patrick Frey. Paris. “Gonesse”. Tissu assorti”. The drawings depict six different scenes: a couple, a man climbing a tree, a horseman, a seated man, a group of three women… All are figures dressed in old-fashioned, bourgeois fashion, for the most part.
It features a slight central depression and a flat edge, creating a simple and elegant design without sacrificing functionality. Glossy finish.
