This original night box of the Bauhaus period was designed and manufactured around 1930. Thanks to the Thonet emblem on the inside of the door, it can be seen that it was exhibited and sold in the Thonet branch Amsterdam. It appears for the first time in the Thonet catalog No. 3209 of the said year. The draft goes back to the (probably Hungarian) architect J. Fenyves, about which unfortunately no information could be found out to date.
