Beautiful Sorrento box, jewelery box in black lacquered wood with inlays made of cherry wood and walnut briar with depictions of dragons, dolphins and floral decorations. Inside there are various compartments all padded with velvet and there is also a small oval mirror in the internal, upper part of the box. The four feet of the box are onion-shaped like those of 19th century furniture. The object can be dated around the mid-19th century and the wonderful patina that covers it, especially inside, is perfectly in line with our dating.
