The sculpture is in an excellent state of preservation and is signed Ouline at the base,
where there is also the engraving ‘Bronze France’.
Alexandre Ouline (1887-1965) was a Russian sculptor who was born in Bakou,
but was active as a sculptor in both France and Belgium.
He worked mainly between 1918 and 1948 making Art Deco sculptures.
