Outlet Pamono 17th Century Charles II English Sterling Silver Tankard, 1680s

This is a wonderful antique silver Charles II lidded tankard with hall marks for London 1680, bearing the makers mark T.S whichn is attributed to Thomas Smith by David Mitchell in his book “Silversmiths in Elizabethan and Stuart London”. The tankard is of cylindrical form with moulded foot, the stepped lid has a scalloped peak, an S shaped handle engraved with the initials TS in a monogram dotted octagon, and a decorative cast thumb piece. It would be a treasured piece for any discerning collector, and is sure to make an outstanding contribution to your collection.
