This is a superb Vintage twin pedestal dining table in elegant George III style, crafted in mahogany with twelve Regency Revival dining chairs, dating from the mid 20th Century. The table is capable of seating twelve people in regal comfort, it is an extraordinary piece of furniture which will add splendour to any room. The crossbanded top has three leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and it is raised on a pair of “gun barrel” triple splay leg bases fitted with elegant lion’s paw brass castors. The superb vintage set of twelve Regency Revival flame mahogany dining chairs comprises ten side chairs and two armchairs. They are made of solid mahogany with fabulous satin wood crossbanded decoration accented with boxwood and ebony line inlay. They stand on elegant reeded tapering front legs with sabre back legs. They all have drop in seats which are upholstered in a striking burgundy and gold fabric. The seat cushions can be removed to reveal cane seats which allow for cooler and more comfortable dining in the warmer summer months The amazing craftsmanship that has gone into this elegant dining set is immediately obvious, the lovely warm tones and grain of the mahogany ensuring the table is shown off to perfection. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
