This nude oil art work, XX Century is signed by Humbert-Vignol, a french painter of genre, portraits and still lifes.
Humbert-Vignol Léonie (1879-1960) was born in Lyon (Rhone).
She was a pupil of Alexandre Bonnardel et Édouard Toudouze at the “Beaux-Arts” school in Lyon.
He exhibited at the “Salon des Artistes de Lyon” from 1896 and in 1901 he took his first medal. In 1908 he will receive the first prize.
He also exhibited in Paris at the “Salon des Artistes Français” from 1905 where he received honors and many other medals.
One of his works is kept in the Digne museum in France. The painting and the frame are restored.
The oil on canvas painting dates back to the twentieth Century.
