“INSIDE/OUTSIDE?” it is a work that reinterprets the theme of the window. A constant symbol between inside and outside; the internal world, theater of private feelings and thoughts: known, familiar, safe space; and the outside, public world, where what happens is out in the open: an unknown space, a place of desire and adventure, dangerous or tempting. The boundary between what is internal and what is external is constantly shifting. The border between these two worlds manifests itself in my work, in the glass/window, crossroads and focal point between inside and outside. The work, therefore, acquires various meanings: from the function of “view” understood as bringing inside the scenographic beauty of the world, to “home” conceived as a symbolic space that separates what is familiar from what is foreign, or as if it were a symbol of a suspended and intimate moment with the function of opening onto an external landscape, up to becoming a “picture” that isolates a scene and the spectator can be more or less pushed to want to enter the intimacy perceived behind and in the window.
