The Vase Decorated with Fauns is made with Impruneta terracotta, a type of clay rich in ferrous materials, which in addition to giving the particular shade of pink in the finished product, make the terracotta permeable and resistant to frost, thus becoming suitable for outdoor use.
At first glance, you can see that this is a vase with a particular shape, supported and raised by a solid support base, decorated with floral elements. But the most characteristic part of the Vase Decorated with Fauns is the central part, with an explosion of floral decorations and festoons that embrace the entire circumference of the vase, alternating with the four particular faun heads, which seem to sing a song that only they can hear.
