Sterling silver round Art Deco serving tray, Hanau silver, 1934 A beautiful silver Art Deco serving tray, which is hammered in a beautiful round Art Deco style with walnut wooden handles The old silver hall marks on the back comes from Koch & Bergfeld silver hall mark and 930 for purity 930/000 of silver used from ca. 1884 and marked with English hall marks for Birmingham, (1889) This serving tray looks like German Hanau Silver given the marks. The silversmith “Schmidt”, worked since 1934 in Germany (Hanau silversmith) Furthermore, the entire tray is hallmarked with the Dutch silver hallmarks, used after 1953, after it has been imported to the Netherlands with the tax mark “V” and “ZI” for 925/000 purity of silver.
